MAFO began in the late 1960s to represent the issues facing migrants and the Midwestern farmworker organizations that serve them at the national level. At that time, the federal government focused primarily on migrants’ home states, often overlooking the Midwest and other “receiver” states. In response, farmworker organizations across the region came together to form a unified voice.
Currently, MAFO is the only national organization with a broad-based membership and constituency uniquely positioned to address the challenges facing not only disadvantaged farmworkers, but also the wider rural Latino population.
Together, we can make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable individuals. Your generosity fuels our efforts to create a better tomorrow.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
